Jessica was first introduced to French as a young American girl in her French grandparents’ home in Northern California. After 4 years of high school French, she stayed with a French family for 2 weeks in a small town just south of Paris, and has been hooked on France ever since. After multiple visits to the North and the South of France, Jessica studied abroad for a year in Toulouse while completing her degree in French Literature at UC Irvine. Still hungry for more, she completed a masters degree in French Studies at New York University with a summer in Paris. She and her husband then spent a year living in Paris, and Jessica currently teaches French in the Bay Area. The purpose of this blog is to discuss cultural differences between Americans and the French so that we can better understand one another.
